In-Person Hearings & Meetings
To speak at an in-person public hearing or to make public comment, persons are required to sign up in advance.
You may register to speak in person at Bel Air Town Hall (39 N. Hickory Ave.) starting 30 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled public hearing or meeting.
Persons may sign up until the beginning of the first scheduled hearing or comment.
Persons may also pre-register up until 4:30 PM on the day of the scheduled public hearing or meeting by completing the Public Hearing/Comment Registration Form; by emailing the Town Clerk at mkrantz@belairmd.org; or by calling the Administration Department at 410-638-4550.
Teleconference Hearings & Meetings
To speak at a public hearing or meeting held via teleconference, it is highly recommended that persons pre-register up until 4:30 PM on the day of the scheduled public hearing or meeting by completing the Public Hearing/Comment Registration Form; by emailing the Town Clerk at mkrantz@belairmd.org; or by calling the Administration Department at 410-638-4550.
General Rules and Guidelines
Comments and input from attending citizens shall be subject to the following time limits: (1) individuals speaking on their own behalf are limited to a maximum of 3 minutes; (2) Individuals speaking on behalf of a bona fide organization are limited to a maximum of 5 minutes. Only one person may speak on behalf of an organization. Speakers will not be allowed to cede time to other speakers. Insulting or inflammatory language shall, at all times, be avoided.
