Saturday, February 19th, 2022, 9am-3pm

Bel Air Armory Community Center. 37 N. Main Street, Bel Air MD 21014

Bel Air, MD-To kick off the start of American Heart Month, students and community bystanders will be taught “hands only” CPR on Saturday February 19th by Bailey’ s Heart & Soul Foundation and its community partners.

This event is being held to highlight the fact that Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) happens to young people in our community every day. SCA doesn’t discriminate, it can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time just like it did to Bailey. Student athletes has an increased risk of SCA.

This event is made possible due to the collaboration of numerous community organizations that have come together to ensure that as a community we are equipped in responding timely to SCA. You must register for your desired training session at: https://form.jotform.com/212996953144163

Facts:

Thousands of children die every year from sudden cardiac arrest

Many students who experience sudden cardiac arrest have had wellness exams and or sports physicals

SCA is reversible if CPR and an AED is used immediately. Untreated, it will lead to sudden cardiac death
