Public Input Meeting to Discuss Proposed Police Station Expansion

For a number of years, officers and staff of the Bel Air Police Department have been working in a facility that no longer adequately addresses your needs and theirs. Recently, a third study has detailed the need for a new police facility and you may learn more about that study and proposal by going to the Town of Bel Air web page and clicking on the following link:

You are receiving this notice to inform you that it will most likely necessitate a tax increase to fund an adequate police facility for our Town. Your input in this process is very important and for this reason a public input meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 8, 7:30 PM at the Bel Air Armory located at 37 North Main Street. If you wish to make your thoughts known regarding this very important project, please plan to attend. We encourage you to review the information on our website to familiarize yourself with the subject matter we will discuss.

If you are unable to attend the public input meeting, you are welcome to attend one of our regularly scheduled Town Board Meetings where you may express your thoughts to the Commissioners. Town Board Meetings are scheduled the first and third Mondays of every month at Town Hall, 39 North Hickory Avenue; and the meetings begin at 7:30 PM. Town Board Meetings scheduled prior to the public input meeting include the following dates; March 18, and April 1.
