The Town of Bel Air Tree Committee encourages planting street trees along residential streets to increase tree canopy in neighborhoods. Town of Bel Air residents and property owners can use the Street Tree Application Request form (link below) to request a tree to be planted through the Department of Planning and Community Development by the sidewalk adjacent to their property. If the planting area in front of your property between the curb and sidewalk is more than four (4) feet wide, we may be able to plant one of the several selected species of trees with Planning Department approval of the specified tree and location. If you are interested in applying to the Town’s Residential Street Tree program, you may call the Planning department for more information at 410-638-4540 or complete an application and emailing the form to planning@belairmd.org
